Therapy, wherever you are.

Well, almost…

While there are so many advantages of online therapy, it is important to understand that most state regulations require that the client is in the state that the therapist is licensed in.

I am licensed in Georgia, Florida, and New Jersey. So, for example, if you’re a Georgia resident and you want to spend time in Buckhead, then travel to Savannah for work, or head up to Athens to see the Georgia Bulldogs—we can have a session! How awesome is that?!

There are rare instances when I may be able to have a session with you if you travel out of state, but it varies and depends on the state (and licensing board) that you travel too. Should that ever become an issue, we can talk about how to address your sessions while you’re outside of one of the states that I’m licensed in.

Now, let me to tell you why online therapy is so cool…

Why online therapy?

  1. Online therapy allows for the convenience of therapy anywhere that you are at a time that is convenient for you. It can be challenging to find a therapist that is a good fit and distance is just one less obstacle when online therapy is an option.

  2. Online therapy is shown to be just as effective as in person therapy.

  3. Other things to consider:

    · Transportation (including access, costs for transit and/or parking, vehicle dependability)

    · Caregiver responsibilities (including eldercare, childcare, and partner care)

    · Accessibility (including physical/mobility limitations, mental health limitations)

    · Convenience (squeezing in a session before the kids wake up or in between classes)

    · Weather (weather can be unpredictable- don’t let it stop you from your therapy session)

    · Work/Life balance (asking for time off work is for the birds)

  4. All sessions are offered on a HIPAA-compliant platform, so you can feel confident that our sessions are confidential and secure.
